Wie werden die Top 100 Musik Charts ermittelt?
Die Musik Charts werden aufgrund statistischer Daten ermittelt und aufgestellt. Ob es sich um die Alternative Charts, die Radio Charts, Dance Charts oder welche Charts auch immer handeln – sie zeigen die Trends der jeweiligen Kategorie. Dadurch haben sie starken Einfluss auf das gesamte Entertainment und die aktuelle Konsumgüterindustrie. Die Aufsplitterung der Charts ist mittlerweile sehr breit gefächert. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass in jeder Sparte in einem bestimmten Zeitraum die Verkaufszahlen und Downloads bestimmt werden.
Nach diesen Zahlen wird ein Ranking erstellt. Die Top 100 von 2012 zeigt an, wie erfolgreich ein Künstler aktuell mit seiner Single in Deutschland ist.
Musik Charts werden seit den 1950ern aufgestellt und wöchentlich aktualisiert. Zuerst zählten nur Radiosendungen, dann kamen die CDs. Hier wurden aktuelle Verkäufe gezählt. Mittlerweile sind die digitalen Downloads auf dem Vormarsch und bilden einen bedeutenden Schwerpunkt in der Ermittlung der Top 100 von 2012. Früher wie heute werden in den Top 100 der Musik Charts Neuzugänge gekennzeichnet, damit keine neue Single verpasst wird.
Aufsteiger sind diejenigen Künstler, die von ganz unten nach oben aufgestiegen sind und sich dort behaupten können. Sie sind deshalb wichtig, weil sie die aktuelle Strömung anzeigen, wohin sich der allgemeine Geschmack verändert.
Neben den Verkaufszahlen spielen für die Ermittlung der aktuellen Musik Charts auch die Häufigkeit der gespielten Singles in Rundfunk und Fernsehen eine Rolle, sowie die Klicks beim legalen Download. Hierbei werden mittlerweile auch die Downloads über Handys mitgerechnet. Teilweise werden diese Zahlen miteinander kombiniert oder werden in eigene Chart Kategorien verpackt. Ein Großteil der Verkäufe in den deutschen Single Musik Charts von 2012 sind Downloads. Der Anteil der Album Charts ist im Vergleich dazu erheblich kleiner.
Die aktuellen Dance Charts 2012 sowie andere Musik Charts Kategorien werden nicht nur über den Singles Verkauf ermittelt, sondern auch durch Umfragen. Vor allem in der Dance Musik hat sich dies bewährt, da sich die DJs vermehrt danach richten als nach den Mainstream oder den Top 100 Charts. Die Dance Charts entscheiden letztlich, was in den Clubs und Diskotheken gespielt und gemixt wird.
